The ten-year posture.
Sustainability at Wouessi isn’t a marketing frame; it’s a decade of operating decisions. We graduated from the AstraZeneca Sustainability Accelerator Program in 2025, ran the curriculum against our own playbook, and emerged with a clearer roadmap and a sharper honesty about what we’ve actually earned the right to claim.
Where we are today
Carbon-aware hosting
Serverless first, caching over compute, green-energy regions. Efficiency is the first climate choice on every stack.
Remote-first operations
Distributed by design. Travel is approved, not defaulted. The single biggest Scope 3 line is cut by 70%.
Responsible AI
Small models when small models work. Every AI feature ships with a cost, energy and accuracy measurement.
Paperless delivery
Digital intake, digital proofs, e-sign. No printed decks. No shipped swag we don’t have to ship.
Supplier diversity
CAMSC-certified. Our partner bench is intentionally diverse, and we report on where our spend goes.
Workforce equity
Priority hiring for Indigenous, Northern, and underrepresented candidates — on every cohort.
Training as climate strategy
500+ learners upskilled to date. Local talent building local systems is a decarbonising move.
Transparent governance
Board-overseen, founder-led. Decisions close to the work, reporting close to the board.
2026 roadmap — what we’re working on next
ESG baseline
Publish a first formal disclosure covering Scope 1, 2, and partial 3. No greenwashing — we’ll say what we don’t know.
SDG alignment audit
Map our engagements to SDG 4 (education), 8 (decent work), 9 (industry/innovation), and 10 (reduced inequality).
B Corp assessment
Complete the B Impact Assessment as an internal readiness benchmark; certification submission targeted for 2027.
Supplier diversity extension
Extend CAMSC practices to our partner bench — with quarterly spend reporting.
Net-zero by 2035 commitment
Full Scope 1–3 with credible offset partners. Ambition sized to what we can actually prove.
Publish what we measure
An annual, public sustainability report with methodology, not marketing.
“We’d rather publish a small true number than a big false one. Sustainability is the one area where credibility compounds and gossip kills.”Wouessi — Sustainability principle
